Performances and Tickets

  • How can I buy tickets?
    Tickets for performances presented by the Matsumoto Performing Arts Centre can be purchased directly at our ticket counter (open 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) or reserved by calling our ticket call center (Tel: 0263-33-2200 , 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.). You may also reserve or purchase tickets online 24 hours-a-day. However, all services are only available in Japanese.
  • Are there foreign language audio guides available for the performances?
    It depends on the specific performance. For performances that do offer foreign language audio guides or subtitles, detailed information about these services is listed on the webpage for each performance.
  • If I am running late, can I still enter the theater?
    For performances presented by the Matsumoto Performing Arts Centre, some restrictions may apply to late entry due to safety and production-related concerns. Depending on the specific performance, you may need to sit in a different seat than listed on your ticket. In case you do arrive late, a staff member will guide you to your seat.
    For performances presented or hosted by other organizations, please contact that organization for information regarding late arrival.
  • Where can I find the schedule of performances?

Facility Information

  • Is eating and drinking allowed inside?
    We ask that guests do not eat or drink in the Large Hall and Small Hall. Eating and drinking is allowed in the foyer (ticket holders only), the Theater Park, and the Top Garden.
  • Does the building have a designated smoking area?
    There is a smoking corner outside of the 2nd floor sub-entrance. Please do not smoke in any other area.
  • Is it possible to look around or tour the building?
    You are free to walk around the Top Garden, Theater Park, and the other free spaces during open hours. To see or tour the performing halls, you must contact us in advance and schedule a visit time. Please note that we cannot provide foreign language guides during such visits.

    We are open from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Note that there may be certain days when the Performing Arts Centre closes irregularly or early at 8:00 p.m., so we recommend checking our website before your visit.
